The Milwaukee Institute is dedicated to advancing scientific research, education and economic development through expansion and more effective use of available scientific and technical resources in the SE Wisconsin region.

As an independent not-for-profit organization, the goals of the Institute include promoting advanced technology development by offering collaboration and high-performance computing systems and services that encourage and enable cooperation among regional public and private research and development organizations, businesses, educational institutions and government agencies.

Working within the Institute and at its affiliates, researchers will continue to seek solutions to important large-scale scientific, engineering, business and social "grand challenge" problems; problems relevant to the economic development objectives of the region.
