Institute staff met with leaders of the University of Illinois' National Center for Supercomputer Applications (NCSA) in Urbana-Champaign (view NCSA website). Discussions involved our mutual interests in grid computing and science applications technology development in the "Great Lakes Region" and the role of high performance computing and related web-based collaboration services among distributed teams of researchers, both academic and commercial. Discussions highlighted our shared interest in developing the I94 corridor from Chicago to Minneapolis and dimensions of potential working relations.
